Bill Clinton could not answer this question for good reasons. It is time to end racism and treat everyone fairly. If Obama was white and Reverend Wright was David Duke his political career would be over; however, he has received preferential treatment because he is black.

they say after i ask God for the gift of the holy spirit, the tongues is an evidence that i have indeed received the holy spirit. But i do not know why i cant speak in tongues. I tried opening my mouth but those are words of my own and not the words of the holy spirit. however i am not discouraged i believe God wants me to persistently seek and practice this gift, i will get it one day.

Not everyone speaks in tongues. In fact, few do. There are many gifts of the spirit. Tongues is just one of them. One is no more important than the other. Only God can give you the gifts. You cannot practice a gift. Either you have it or you don't!

The Bible teaches you that you must live by the word of God, it also teaches you to "spare the rod and spoil the child" that means give the child a spanking when necessay.

People are using "I don't believe in spanking my kid" too much as a cliche, to make themselves or other think better of them, reality is kids need a spaning, but the difference between doing it right and wrong is spanking them for the wrong reason.

It's like when people go to court, a fine for doing something small, death for doing something very bad. If the kid deserves it, grab her and give her ONE hard smack, Ive seen parents go all out and that's just wrong.

Reality is smacking is necessay, just the right amount, be responsible and do whats right, don't not do it cause you feel bad afterwards.

Religion, Morality, In Search of Spiritual Guidance?


What are your views on morality, religion, spiritual guidance?

Which one works for you? Which one is most universally applicable?

My belief system (Taoism) IS a religion, but I am not formally attached to it in that way. I study and try to understand, but I take what I need and leave the rest.

Taoism is a good fit for ME, not a truth for all men to encounter necessarily. Most people seem to seek religion primarily as a SOCIAL BOND. This is not something I need or want, so I follow a different path.

I am convinced that no one truth is universally applicable for all people. As far as morals go, I suspect if you do not have a functioning conscience, no external force will make you moral, and if you HAVE a conscience, no other force is needed.

No, do not become religious. Religion is man's way to seek God. I would encourage you to find the Truth....basically God's Way to seek man.

But you have to start first knowing your lost. There is no sense throwing a life perserver to a drownding man who only thinks he's swimming.
