Question to psychics and clairvoyants. Please no unhelpful responses from sceptics?


My partner and I split in August following the loss of a pregnancy. He went abroad but since then emails me every 4 days or so to say: "He misses me a great deal"; "he misses the time we spent together" etc, etc. This confused me as when two people have a traumatic breakup they end things conclusively. He left me confused about us so I contacted a number of clairvoyants/psychics - maybe about 10 around the country. Anyway about 7 out of the 10 psychics said we would end up having a face to face meeting when he returned and that he would want to reconcile with me but I would not want this. They said other things that they could not possibly have guessed. The other 3 psychics said he was contacting me out of guilt and there would be no reconcilation or we would end up at a crossroads with a decision hanging in the balance.

Why do three out of the 10 psychics seem to pick up on a different interpretation of the outcome?

No.

There is a magician's trick called the "cold read". The performer is able to start with broad generalized statemenst, and by observing the response by the "mark" is able to narrow his comments down to the point where the "mark" belileves the performer either had prior information or was a psychic. Any decent magician can do it.

Couple that with the flattery, and the telling people what they want to hear, and you can convince a lot of people that you're "connected" to powers that don't exist.

Tell me, though. If they truly could commune with spirits or see the future, why not just predict the next lotto numbers, collect the money and retire? Why do they need to beat some little old lady out of her social security check?
