I understand why there are sceptics regarding "psychics', especially with people like the Miss Cleo fiasco. However in any interest you always have someone just trying to make a quick buck with no true understanding of the concept they claim to represent. However does that mean you throw the baby out with the bath water? I mean why after so much is now known to be true do scientists still fall prey to the dark ages mentality of tapping into future events is not possible? It may not be probable but isn't it possible? I am and others who practice this higher instinct ability believe we all have it and are doing it all the time. Please keep snide remarks to yourself. I am looking for in depth discussion answers rather than opinions based on generalized societal preconceptions. Remember just because you don't "think" its true doesn't mean it isn't. Thanks
You are likely to get alot of discussion on this subject, it's been going on for a looooong time.
Question - Do scientists actually deny that tapping into future events is possible?
And with psychic readings for instance - don't they only count if the person takes a certain trajectory in life? What if they went a different way to what was predicted. Then the prediction is not likely to happen. How can you predict beyond a shadow of a doubt. Isn't that what science does. It calculates and calculates and calculates before declaring something to be fact. (And then sometimes they too get it wrong - we humans are good at that).
Another thing to consider is that tapping into spiritual worlds is very difficult to measure. What inventions are out there that can measure spiritual realms. It is a common understanding among the open minded that disease begins outside the body - in the more subtle body known as qi, or the etheric body. What machine can pick it up? Unless you have vision and a mastered understanding of subtle bodies even the most spiritual of people won't see these things.
Spiritual experiences are not common to everyone and until masses of people have the same experience then the proof of it will not be seen among the masses. Scientific proof that is.
Science is not the bad guy in all this. People are gullible and giving credence to the myriad of low level psychics in the world will not do this world any favours. Healthy scepticism is a must to anyone on a spiritual path. See for yourself, know for yourself is a must. Clairvoyants would do well understanding the world or spaces they are tapping into. Just what or who are they talking to. How high is the integrity or source of where they get their information from. Not having vision in their field is karmically irresponsible. And ignorance will only go so far before catching up with them.
There are wonderful people bridging gaps between the world of science and spirituality. And I don't think they are throwing any bath water out. More and more people are opening to the higher parts of themselves and I feel the desire of humans to find the big answers is growing. Everytime a scientist goes to bat for spirituality, he is putting his reputation and often years and years of hard work on the line, and mostly their reputation is shreaded which achieves nothing.
