How can I best develop my psychic ability?

I recently had my palm read...and how uncanny it was! I've always known that I had a strong psychic ability, yet I need more direction in developing my paranormal energy.

Well I guess this is poor advice, but the best way is already what you know is the foreknowledge that you know you have a gift, and the more you accept that the greater you can expand your thought I guess, but I am not really here )

How to Develop psychic ability?

are they any negative effects to developing psychic abilities? are you inviting trouble into your life if you do? can you develop it without having to see spirit?

Everyone in this world and other worlds, have this ability. This is our True Nature~ But, so many spiritual instructors, forewarn us to not use these insights,(except only for our personal use), for the fact that when others find out that you have these abilities, they will use you to get what they want. This has happened to me many times. And so, you become trapped, possessed, owned, controlled, etc.
To access psychic information, the seeker needs to be a clear instrument, which often necessitates some kind of self-development or trans-formative process. Psychic refers to an unseen force; it derives from the word psyche, which means of, or pertaining to, the soul, mind, or spirit. In the allegorical Greek story of the mortal princess, Psyche, she had to endure many tests and trials to prove herself worthy of being the companion of the god of love, Eros. When at last she is given the cup of immortality, she sprouts butterfly wings, which are ancient symbols of the soul. This story suggests that in seeking unconditional love, we, too, might be transformed.
Psychic abilities could be seen in the same way; anyone with a strong desire to use these attributes will be able to access his/her intuition, very few are able, or indeed would want, to work as a professional in the field.
And yes you can develop it~!
