What is a good camera to get into medium format with?
Up till now I've been using 35mm, and I'd like to see what 120mm is like.
Aside from a Holga, what other, relatively cheap, medium format cameras would be good for a beginner?
Forget Holgas. They are called toy cameras for a reason.
You can pick up older bronica ETR and ETRS's for very little these days. Get a PE lens if you have the option, better coatings, better contrast.
The ETR series with a 75mm lens, waist level finder and 120 back is about all the medium format camera most folk will need.
You can expand the system with 35mm and 35mm wide format backs or polaroid backs.
If you are into flash photography then the more recent but costlier ETRSi is worth the extra for its metz compatable TTL metering.

I am learning how to play Bagpipes. You must first practice on a chanter. The chanter use to be my great grandfathers chanter. I felt as if he was standing right next to me my eyes started to hurt a little. Do you think he is happy? And I have seen a couple of people walk in my house that I have never seen before.
